Sideboard

 By Arne Vodder

Sideboard N° 36 designed by Arne Vodder and produced by Sibast Furniture in Denmark around 1950. This piece is a true example of the Danish furniture maker’s craftmanship. From the smooth gliding tambour doors, over the beautiful finishing of the drawers and shelves inside till the natural grain in the used teakwood, this sideboard has timeless quality. Thanks to the veneered backside it can be used as a freestanding piece as well. The bar cabinet on the right has a height adjustable shelf inside and the original black bottom. Maker’s label is present on the inside. The right wooden rail holding the bottom drawer inside is missing a small piece but it’s not affecting the use or function of the drawer. Apart from a few faint circles in the varnish on top in very good condition.
