Lounge chair

 by Osvaldo Borsani for Tecno

Type P40, first edition. Lounge Chair ‘P40’ was designed by Osvaldo Borsani in 1955 for Tecno, Italy. The P40 is an icon of 1950’s Italian design. The chair can be adjusted in over 400 positions. The back can be reclined in different angles, the flexible rubber arm rests can be folded away and the chair features a flip-out leg rest with extendable metal footrest. Brass details and red Tecno logo present on both sides of the chair. The foam has been replaced and the chair was re-upholstered in a pink fabric by Bea Joppen. We have a second ‘P40’ in pink with a slightly lower back. Some signs of a previous life on arm rests and feet.
