Dining table

By Pier Alessandro Giusti & Egidio di Rosa

Marble & glass dining table, designed by Italian architects Pier Alessandro Giusti & Egidio di Rosa and produced by Up & Up in Italy in the 1980’s. This stunning ‘Memphis style’ center piece will definitely turn some heads with it’s solid marble base in beige Breccia Aurora marble and geometric figures in Rosso Carpazi marble. The crystal square top is edged with Breccia Aurora marble in beige, peach and grey undertones accentuating the veins. This handmade piece, named after Monte Brugiana in the region near the quarry of Massa Carrara combines a spectacular artistic design with traditional techniques and materials. One chip out of one of the corner on the red band pied-de stalle is missing, but it’s not harming the stability in any way. We think the pied de stalle was an add-on tailormade for the previous owner to make the table 3,5 cm higher. A crack in the beige marble border holding the glass was meticulously restored in the past. Further a few light scratches on the glass surfaces but nothing too serious. Overall in very good condition.
