Dining chair

 By Gijs Bakker for Castelyn

Set of 4 stackable dining chairs designed by Gijs Bakker, produced by Castelyn in the Netherlands in the 1970’s. The design idea of Bakker was to reduce the complexity of a chair’s form until a clean image remained. Each chair is made of 6 strips of laminated beechwood of 11 cm wide that were pressed into their final, organic shape. They are in very good condition with some little signs of wear as shown in the pictures.
