Large coffee table, designed by Gae Aulenti and produced by Fontana Arte in Italy around 1980. ‘Tavolo con Ruote’ or ‘table with wheels’ is a playful design by architect Gae Aulenti that combines an industrial look with minimalism. Aulenti got the idea for the table from the trolleys used at Fontana Arte’s factory to transport glass. This coffee table can easily be moved around thanks to the industrial metal wheels underneath. The glass top is missing three glass chips on the side, further in good condition. The piece is signed in the glass by Fontana Arte.
