Studio couch

Lucian Randolph Ercolani for Ercol

Iconic 3-seater sofa called ‘The Studio Couch’ designed by Lucian Randolph Ercolani and produced by Britisch furniture maker Ercol in the UK in 1956. It was designed to function both as a large sofa and an occasional single bed for guests. This versatile couch features an attractive steam bent frame consisting of tapered spindles and arched arm rests in beech wood. The back rest is formed from a large board of elm. The upholstery is in a flaura & fauna patterned fabric. This piece features some wear from a previous life as shown in the pictures.
