Dining table
| By Cees Braakman
Extendable dining table designed by Cees Braakman as part of his Japanese series. Produced by Pastoe in the Netherlands around 1960. This design was revolutionary because it was Europe’s first flat-pack table available through mail-order. The big wengé table top can be lengthened 55cm with a hidden, smaller leaf that slides underneath the big one with a built-in mechanism. A thick layer of varnish was applied. In good condition with some light signs of a previous life as shown in the pictures.
