Dining table
| By Cees Braakman
Large dining table model ‘TU31’, designed by Cees Braakman and produced by Pastoe in the Netherlands around 1960. This design, a part of Braakman’s Japanese series, was revolutionary because it was Europe’s first flat-pack table available through mail-order. The big off-white formica table top can be lengthened 55cm by a hidden smaller leaf that shoves under the big one. The wengé frame gives a great outlined contrast. Signs of a previous life, scratches and fadings as visible in the pictures.
